Tuesday the 29 January 2007 has become an important date in the history
of our proud school, which this year, celebrates 125 years of academic prowess
and excellence. MEC for Education, Ina Cronje, visited the school on this day to
address the principal and the management team, and among other things reported
back on the provincial prize giving which was held in Pietermaritzburg during
December 2006. She informed the school that NHS featured strongly at this
prestigious event and was happy to tell that NHS has set a benchmark for other
schools - 8 of the 10 top matric learners in the district are Newies! |
